Easy Hainanese-Inspired Chicken Rice

    Simmer chicken, 4 cups broth, half the ginger, and half the garlic in a covered pot until the chicken reaches 165°F, 22 to 25 minutes.

    Meanwhile cook the rice in the remaining broth with the remaining ginger and garlic until tender, about 18 minutes.

    Remove the chicken, add the cabbage to the hot broth for 2 minutes, then slice the chicken from the bones.

    Serve chicken with rice, cabbage, cucumber, cilantro, tamari, and sweet chile sauce.
