Make dinner

  1. 01

Cook penne until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water and drain.

  2. 02

Season chicken and cook in olive oil over medium-high heat until browned and 165°F, about 4 minutes per side. Rest, then slice.

  3. 03

Melt butter in the skillet. Cook garlic for 30 seconds, add cream, and simmer gently for 2 minutes.

  4. 04

Stir in Parmesan, pepper, and enough pasta water for a glossy sauce. Fold in penne and top with sliced chicken.

Useful swaps

  • Use rotisserie chicken to reduce active time.
  • Gluten-free penne works with the same sauce.
